Join Happening, a pioneering tech company in the sports betting and gaming industry, as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. You will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our core platform technologies, which are crucial for delivering top-notch betting products to our customers globally.
Responsibilities
- Build and Scale Platforms: Configure and manage core technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, CockroachDB, and Redis to scale our company internationally.
- Optimize Infrastructure: Set up and improve monitoring and tracing infrastructure using tools like Prometheus. Optimize and configure Kafka infrastructure and scale logging infrastructure.
- Enhance CI/CD Processes: Improve CI/CD pipelines and prototype new technologies or architectures.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product teams to help them adopt and use common infrastructure and libraries. Collaborate with system operations and IT teams to maintain underlying virtual hardware and networking.
Skills and Experience
- System Health Evaluation: Ability to evaluate system health through monitoring with the Prometheus stack.
- Distributed System Management: Experience with reasoning about components of a large-scale distributed system and their dependencies.
- Cloud Technologies: Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies utilizing IaaC tooling like Terraform.
- Linux Administration: Experience with administering Linux OS and highly available cluster setups.
- Orchestration Technologies: Knowledge of orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Database Management: Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, CockroachDB, DynamoDB.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with Kafka-based microservices architecture is highly regarded.
