Director of Solutions Engineering

BetterCloud is seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering to join our dynamic team. As a critical part of our customer-facing team, you will work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and partners worldwide to architect solutions that meet our customers' automation, spend, security, and technical needs for their critical SaaS applications.

Responsibilities

Understand Customer Requirements: Communicate the business value of solving technology problems using BetterCloud.
Facilitate Solutions Discovery: Conduct solutions overview, technical deep-dives, and solutions validation sessions with customers.
Prepare Demos and POCs: Demonstrate various use cases for BetterCloud’s Platform.
Execute POCs: Deliver POCs for customers with complex use cases to illustrate product capabilities.
Build Relationships: Serve as the technical liaison for both sales and success teams.
Proposal Writing: Participate in writing proposals in response to RFIs/RFPs.
Feedback Communication: Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years in a customer-facing Solutions Engineering role and 3+ years leading a team of Solutions Engineers/Sales Engineers.
Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Okta, Office 365, Box, and Dropbox, preferably on an administrative level, as well as REST APIs.
Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and logically under pressure and communicate complex ideas quickly.
Learning Ability: Quickly learn new technical concepts and be self-directed in your learning.
Adaptability: Positive attitude towards change and ability to adapt.
Customer Handling: Ability to handle customer situations with empathy and ownership.

Salary

Range: €220,000 - €270,000 per year

This salary range represents BetterCloud’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final salary for this position will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role.
